We are seeking a capable and motivated Junior Security Engineer to support a high-trust security operations function. This role is well-suited to candidates who want to develop their cyber security career through real-world experience in incident response and operational security monitoring.

The Junior Security Engineer will be responsible for supporting incident response efforts, analysing system and network logs, tracking vulnerabilities, and assisting in day-to-day security operations.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers to ensure timely detection, analysis, and mitigation of cyber threats, while also supporting improvements in security monitoring and incident management practices.
Perform detailed log analysis across infrastructure and application layers
Execute defined incident response procedures, escalating where appropriate
Contribute to the remediation of known CVEs and participate in vulnerability tracking
Support the generation of regular vulnerability and incident reports
Assist with network monitoring and anomaly detection
Participate in continuous improvement of security operations processes
Demonstrated attention to detail in security analysis and documentation
Working knowledge of incident response principles and log correlation techniques
Basic familiarity with vulnerability management frameworks and tools
Ability to simplify and communicate complex security issues clearly
Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
All the following criteria are mandatory and must be clearly met by applicants:
Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in log analysis and incident response - Preferably gained within a healthcare or similarly regulated environment
Qualifications: Holds a recognised Information Security qualification or equivalent (Examples include CompTIA Security+, SSCP, CEH, or similar certifications)
Availability: Must be available to commence services by the estimated start date in September 2026
English Language Proficiency: Proficient in written and spoken English to effectively engage with internal teams and stakeholders
Onsite attendance, five days per week
